International Education Week Photo Contest
** DEADLINE IS 12:00 A.M. NOVEMBER 15, 2009**

The International Education Week Photo Contest is an annual opportunity for UAB students, faculty and staff who have studied and traveled abroad to share their experiences with the greater UAB community. Often, the impact of international travel is difficult to put into words, but pictures, "worth a thousand words," make sharing these incredible experiences much easier!

Eligibility

Entrants may only submit up to two photos for one of the following categories:
  • UAB students who have studied/traveled abroad
  • International students of UAB
  • Faculty/Staff of UAB with photos of their international travels
All entrants may also submit up to two (2) additional photographs for our newest category:

Where in the World is UAB? (photos of Faculty/Staff/Students in UAB attire while overseas.)

Online voting will take place during the week of November 16-20.
Come back and vote for your favorite photo in each category!

Rules for Submitting a Photograph

Photos may only be submitted in digital form per the guidelines established below:
  1. Each individual may only submit photos that are in JPG, JPEG, GIF or BMP format.

  4. When you submit your photos you will be asked to fill out an entry form. You may also submit a comment, but this is not required. This can be about the description of the photo, your feelings about studying abroad, or any other special experiences you had.

  5. By submitting your photo you acknowledge that UAB retains the following rights:
    • the right to edit any comments for length and/or suitability
    • the right to use submitted photographs for future publications
