Come study in Venice, Florence and Rome, Italy!

Today Italy welcomes the opportunities and challenges of yet a new millennium. The old and traditional is juxtaposed against and combines with the new and contemporary.

This course will provide students with an in-depth cross cultural experience based around lectures and presentations which will include topics on educational systems, social norms, linguistic diversity, and historical perspectives of two countries: Italy and the United States. Students will attend seminars in Birmingham both before and after the travel experience.

Dr. Collins and guest lecturers (TBD) from the host sites will facilitate seminars in Italy. Lectures, field trips, group discussions, walking tours, selected readings, and social gatherings will provide the impetus for the educational experiences of this study group.
