ABOUT THE CITY OF HULL

Hull is a vibrant riverside city with a strong maritime heritage. It has been a major European port for seven centuries. Ranked among the top 15 city destinations (above Cambridge, Oxford, Canterbury and London) in the Guardian/Observer Travel Awards 2003, it is a place that frequently surprises the visitor.

Hull offers a fascinating and dynamic mix of the historic and the contemporary, with plenty of cultural facilities as well as a broad and interesting range of shops, restaurants, pubs, entertainments and attractions. It is unique in more than one sense.

The University of Hull offers world-class teaching and research, with impressive facilities and strong support networks, on two campuses in Hull and Scarborough. Through the UAB Reciprocal Exchange Program, you can join this thriving, progressive community of students and staff to study a range of more than 900 courses that cover the full range of academic subjects - arts, humanities, health, sciences and social sciences.

Academic Programs:

The Academic Programs that are listed in the University of Hull Online Course Catalog are available to UAB students with proper approval from the UAB Study Abroad Program director and your academic advisor(s).

For a list of courses on offer visit the University of Hull Programme and Module Catalogue, change your academic year to 06/07 and then use key words to search for available courses.

Once you have downloaded copies of the course syllabi from the online catalog for the courses you wish to take, you should contact the UAB Study Abroad Program Office to set up an appointment.

  • At least Sophomore standing.

  • Minimum GPA of 2.7 or above (Some programs require a 3.0 GPA.)

    Program Fees

    Because this is a Reciprocal Exchange program, UAB students pay UAB Tuition and Fees. Students are responsible for their airfare, housing, meals and extracurricular travel.
