AAIE is an organization dedicated to promoting international education and providing professional development opportunities for those
working in the field. AAIE (a NAFSA affiliated organization) works to provide resources for institutions across the State of Alabama in
immigration, community programming, study abroad/exchange, international admissions, multicultural/cross-cultural issues, and other areas
of need for international education.
An international education does not just open eyes and broaden perspectives. In an increasingly interdependent world, it is essential for
fostering the global and cross-cultural knowledge and understanding necessary for effective U.S. leadership, competitiveness, and security.
AAIE offers an annual state-level conference and supports the efforts of NAFSA in its regional and national conferences.
(More information can be found at www.nafsa.org). Our 2008 conference will be held on March 27 and 28 in
Columbiana, Alabama at the Alabama 4-H Center. We will be offering comprehensive sessions on current immigration issues, cross-cultural
programming, TESOL/ESL, study abroad, credential evaluation and international admission.
If you are interested in participating and/or leading a session on one of these relevant topics, please download and complete the Registration and Session Proposal
